Our Story
I grew up on a farm near the small wheatbelt town of Yelbeni. When mum baked my sister and I would run to the backyard and collect eggs from our resident hens and then we would watch her whip and fold various delights into shape. I have the fond memories of everything on our table being baked from scratch and all set off by a lace table cloth of course.
My favourite subject at school was art and I have always had the urge to create. Working in the insurance industry for a decade didn’t really scratch that creative itch and I made the move into a wonderful role at Lamonts in the Swan Valley working in the winery, gallery and restaurants with some amazing women. After the birth of our second child, I was ready for a career change and wanted to feel the joy of creating again. I ended up falling into making wedding cakes and 17 years on, have never looked back.
Baking and creating comes very naturally to me. It’s a freedom that I feel lucky to have. Our registered, licenced commercial grade cake kitchen and studio is at our residence where we live in the Perth foothills near the John Forrest National Park. Together with our two staff we lovingly design, bake and decorate all our cakes on premises.
We limit the number of orders we take on to ensure that each cake creation is a masterpiece that tastes amazing. We specialise in handcrafted wedding cakes only using the highest quality ingredients. We do not use any packet mixes and have gained a reputation for our nut free kitchen and gluten free cakes. I follow design and fashion closely and think couples are drawn to our cakes because they embody current trends but have timeless appeal. They are contemporary yet romantic

Hi Jo, Just a quick note to thank you for the absolutely gorgeous cake you produced for Jules and I on our wedding day on Friday. We are absolutely in love with what you made for us - we were able to save a big piece for ourselves and ate it last night. So delish.
